The Connecticut Maverick's is an organization that prides itself on player development in a competitive environment. Teaching to the individual while playing an aggressive team approach helps our players develop offensive skills as they learn to play and make decisions at a fast pace
We develop our players defensively as we stress defensive fundamentals from our youngest to most experienced players. Our ultimate goal is to develop each player, so that the progress that is made in the off season will ultimately allow their development to "fit" into the program they play in during the winter. Developing a basketball IQ, a passion to improve through practice and enjoying the experience is a byproduct of our teaching.
The Connecticut Mavericks Organization is a family. With a state of the art practice facility at the Newtown Youth Academy, the Mavs are excited to grow on their already great reputation. We are looking to expand the program to allow for a more grassroots approach and build on the relationships we have created over the past few years.
